What the Homeowner Wanted
The homeowner needed a system covering both the main house and a detached guest house on a 3-acre hillside at the WUI boundary near Los Gatos. A ravine ran along the upslope side, creating a natural fire corridor.
What FireRoofs Designed
FireRoofs designed a Guardian-tier system with roof and eave sprinklers on both structures. Cameras were positioned across the ravine and upslope terrain. The system uses three-level automated activation with a cancel window so the homeowner retains control.
What Was Documented for Insurance
Insurance documentation covered both structures with separate zone maps, water pressure test results, and a complete CDI regulatory alignment matrix. The multi-structure design was documented as a single integrated system.
