Common Questions
What happens during a FireRoofs home evaluation?
A FireRoofs specialist walks your entire property assessing every mitigation category identified under California's Safer from Wildfires regulation. That includes roof material, vent type, eave condition, exterior cladding, fencing, window glazing, chimney screening, Zone Zero landscaping, defensible space out to 100 feet, water pressure, slope, wind exposure, and the number of structures.
Is the home evaluation free?
Yes. The on-site property evaluation is completely free with no obligation. FireRoofs covers all evaluation costs. You receive a written proposal covering your recommended pathway, scope of work, and project timeline.
How soon after the evaluation do I receive a proposal?
Most homeowners receive a detailed proposal within one to three business days after the on-site evaluation. The proposal includes your recommended pathway, hardening scope, sprinkler system design (if applicable), and a project timeline tailored to your property and insurance deadlines.
What are the three pathways?
FireRoofs offers three flexible pathways. The Emergency Pathway (1 to 2 weeks) focuses on active defense and priority hardening for imminent deadlines. The Standard Pathway (4 to 6 weeks) covers sprinkler installation plus structural hardening across the most impactful mitigation categories. The Comprehensive Pathway (6 to 8 weeks) addresses all 12 Regulation 2644.9 categories for maximum insurance impact.
