The System

Detect. Alert. Defend.

Every FireRoofs system follows the same three-stage logic. The technology watches for fire. It tells you what it sees. And when the threat is real, it fights back automatically.

Stage 1

Detect

Two independent systems monitor for wildfire around the clock. Regional satellite monitoring scans for active fire within a 5-mile radius. On-property cameras watch your surrounding landscape and detect wildfire threats with a near-zero false alarm rate.

See full detection specs
Stage 2

Alert

When the system detects a threat, you get an immediate push notification showing threat level, direction, and system status. You can cancel, activate early, or do nothing and let the system respond on its own.

Stage 3

Defend

Your roof fire sprinkler system engages automatically across the roof, eaves, and vegetation perimeter, saturating every surface that fire would target. If Class A foam is part of your system, it deploys at the highest threat level, creating a fire-resistant barrier that clings to surfaces. The foam is 100% biodegradable, non-toxic to plants, pets, and wildlife, and rinses off your home through the sprinklers after the event.

What Gets Installed

FireRoofs roof sprinkler head mounted on roof ridge

Roof Sprinklers

Mounted along the ridge line, saturating the entire roof surface from the top down.

FireRoofs eave sprinklers spraying water along roof eave line

Eave Sprinklers

Protect the eave line and soffit, the most common ember entry point.

FireRoofs perimeter wildfire sprinkler spraying water across hillside vegetation

Perimeter Wildfire Sprinklers

Soak the vegetation zone closest to your structures.

FireRoofs camera with intelligent fire detection mounted on property

Intelligent Cameras

Mounted at strategic positions, feeding the detection system day and night.

FireRoofs control panel and plumbing installation

Control Panel

Manages zone activation, water pressure, and communication from a discreet enclosure.

FireRoofs control enclosure with plumbing manifold and valve assembly

Class A Foam (Optional)

Mixes firefighting foam into the water supply during maximum threat activation. 100% biodegradable, non-toxic to plants, pets, and wildlife. Rinses off through the sprinklers after use.

What Installation Looks Like

FireRoofs systems are professionally installed by a licensed California General Contractor. Installation timelines are property-specific and cover sprinkler heads, copper piping, control panel, sensors, and cameras. Every system is commissioned and tested before handoff, including app training so you know exactly how to use it.

Professionally Installed

by a licensed California General Contractor

Annual Maintenance

We offer an optional annual maintenance plan covering inspection, testing, sensor calibration, foam replacement, and a pre-fire-season readiness check.

Custom-Built. Bay Area Only. Backed by Real Construction Expertise.

FireRoofs isn't a national franchise. We don't ship kits. We don't subcontract the install to whoever's available.

Local Expertise

We work exclusively in communities like Saratoga, Los Gatos, Woodside, Portola Valley, Los Altos Hills, Cupertino, and Scotts Valley. We know these terrains, wind patterns, and fire corridors.

Professional Construction

Every installation is overseen by a licensed California General Contractor with decades of experience in construction, irrigation, and water systems.

Custom Engineering

No two properties are the same. Lot size, slope, roof pitch, vegetation, water pressure, wind exposure. All of it factors into your system design.

Dual Wildfire Detection

No other Bay Area company combines satellite monitoring with on-property intelligent camera detection. Two independent layers eliminate blind spots.

Beyond protecting the physical structure, a fully documented wildfire defense system strengthens your position with insurance carriers. California regulators now mandate that insurers credit verified mitigation measures when calculating premiums. The detection, activation, and suppression capabilities documented in a FireRoofs commissioning report map directly to categories in the state's mitigation framework. That documentation, combined with a professional evidence packet, gives your agent or broker something concrete to present during underwriting.

See What a Defense System Looks Like for Your Property

Every FireRoofs system starts with a free property evaluation. We walk your lot, assess your terrain and vegetation, look at your water supply, and design a system that fits your home. No commitment. No pressure. Just a clear picture of what protection looks like for your property.

Unlike manual sprinkler kits, a FireRoofs system activates on its own, even when you've evacuated.

FAQ

Common Questions

How does the detection system distinguish real threats from false alarms?

Dual wildfire detection works in two layers. Regional satellite monitoring tracks fire activity across a wide radius. On-property cameras with intelligent fire detection then confirm whether a genuine threat is approaching your home before the system activates.

Will the system activate automatically during a power outage?

The system requires electrical power to operate. FireRoofs strongly recommends a backup generator as the primary power solution. A generator delivers the sustained wattage needed to run backup water pumps, booster pumps, and Starlink connectivity simultaneously for hours. Battery systems such as Tesla Powerwall can keep the controller and cameras running but may not sustain the higher electrical loads required for water pumping. Most homes we install on already have a generator in place.

How does the system respond to wildfire threats?

The system uses an automated multi-stage threat response designed to protect the home proportionally to actual wildfire threat conditions. The homeowner retains control at every stage through the FireRoofs app, including the ability to cancel activation. A physical emergency button on the smart controller enclosure also allows manual activation at any time.
